Characterization of Cassia Tora Seed (CTS) Oil-Based Biodiesel-Diesel Blends

The paper reported on the characterization of CTS oil-based biodiesel-diesel blends. study's primary objective are physicochemical oil and biodiesel from Cassia Tora seed (CTS) oil, using FTIR GCMS analysis. Extraction revealed pres-ence 8.8% in seed. biodiesel's viscosity was found to be 0.9092, which is well above petroleum diesel. physiochemical showed that 5, 12.5 20 % blends within acceptable limit for combustion engine without modification having viscosities 0.8744, 0.8764, 0.8787 respec-tively while 100% would require upgrading meet up with recommended standard fuel used as diesel internal engines. analysis functional groups characteristic peaks fatty acids methyl ester carbon range C13–C17, C16 constituted major Fatty acid group contained 61.69 Monounsaturated Acid (MUFA), 38.31 Saturated (SFA) giving a 94.3% yield.
